Project of upgrading the main entrance of town 2011

Taffouh Municipality opened the huge project of town entrance and it includes the environmental, aesthetic aspects as well as infrastructure and lightening.

The project wins a great attention from Municipality and warm welcome from all sectors and parties. It is considered as the great accomplishment of Municipality because it contributes to the prosperity and of town economically, commercially as well as in tourism and services.

The entrance of the town was decorated with floodlights and the roads pavements were implanted with flowers and trees to increase its beauty. Besides, it includes a new networks of telephone, electricity and water as well as new lightening columns that decorated the paved roads. New pavements were established, traffic signs on road sides were also fixed. In addition to this, the environmental aesthetic touches, represented by planting trees in certain areas on road sides . the total cost of the project amounts more than NIS 2,500,000, funded by Ministry of Finance through the Ministry of Local Government. Out of this sum, NIS 1,200,000, funded by Municipality Fund, in addition to cost of works done by the service institutions.

The project has been implemented on stages, all have been entirely completed

  1. First And Second Stage: It includes the main entrance of town up to the square of Freedom Martyrs, Upper enterance of Al-Farsh Road, Entrance of Qurneh Road and the crossroad of the main street. The works include the rehabilitation of infrastructure including telephones, electricity, water, drainage, cobble stoning pavements and street banks.
  2. The second and fourth stages: It include the distance from the meeting point of the main road, Martyr Yasir Arafat Circle, the crossroads of Martyr Abdul-Kareem Salamah , town down road and the clinic Road. Infrastructure works of all services and new pavements and floodlights have been completed in addition to the technical works inside the Martyr Yasie Arafat which includes repairing the wall of Saiyyeda Zainab Basic School for girls and decorated it a stone wall.

Opening Project

Taffouh Municipality opened a number of its projects in 2011, the most prominent is the project of the main town road. The Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, in participation of mayor, Minister of Local Government, Dr. Khaled Qawasmi, and Benignant Kamil Hmeid, Governor of Hebron Governorate ,members of Taffouh Municipality , and a big crowd of town people.

During opening the project Dr. Fayyad expressed his his great pleasure about the excellent project, referring that the project adds to veteran Taffouh flush to flush and greenness to greenness, a matter that contribute to life easiness and facilitation and consolidates its status as a good place to live in. He added that the people of Taffouh are famous for their hospitality and warm welcoming . He also conveys the blessing and congratulation of President of Mahmoud Abbas to Taffouh Municipality and its people, taking into account this project as a Palestinian national outcome.
