Within the vision of Taffouh Municipality represented by the necessity of developing the ecological situation of town through increasing the green areas, the general recreational places for children and families, to save trees and plants existed in the Palestinian nature under the great escalation of the archaeological growth of town, Taffouh Municipality took care of establishing Al-Nakheel Garden beside in the area of Hiwara which has a strategic site, and whose borders touch the border of Hebron . This site looks upon the lofty Palestinian Coastal Plain.
On 24/6/2012, Taffouh Municipality opened a series of its projects for 2012, the most eminent is Al-Nakheel Garden Project in the presence of Dr. Salam Fayyad and with the participation of municipality Mayor, Nimr Khamaiseh, His highness Minister of Local Gevernment, Dr. Khaled Qwasmi, Benignant Governor of Hebron Governorate, Kamel Hmeid and the members of Taffouh Municipal Council, employees and a great assemble of town's people.
After inauguration, the Prime Minister and the accompanied delegation wander around the different corners of the garden, which includes quiet places for family sessions, recreational places for children equipped with a lot of toys, beautiful foundations and rainfalls, large CDs, special places for youth in addition to a cafeteria, readily to guarantee all needs of the visitors. The garden covers an area of 4000 m² , and the total cost amounts ( NIS 2,000,000) , funded by Municipality Fund. The contribution of the Ministry of Finance was (JD 80,000). UNRWA gives immaterial donations amounted (NIS 120,000). The garden opens daily from p.m. to 12 midnight.
